Jacksonville has a wonderful tradition of a boat parade and fireworks every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Some years it's warmer than others, this year it was quite windy which made sitting by the river a little cool. It also blew the smoke toward us which obscured a lot of the fireworks. But even so, Jacksonville does have some of the best fireworks of anywhere I've been (only rivaled by the opening of the derby in Louisville, KY). They are shot off two bridges on either side of where we were sitting and several barges and they reflect in the tall buildings. It's beautiful. As for the boats this year, the sailboat with the flag sails was my favorite!
