Mount Airy Mansion Wedding - Congratulations Courtney and Saul!

Courtney and Saul were married at the beautiful and historic Mount Airy Mansion on a summer-like spring day. They added so many special touches that made Mount Airy Mansion their own. I especially loved the camellias that really fit the era of the house.
It was a pleasure to be their wedding photographer and to be part of this joyful celebration!buttoning up a beautiful wedding dress at Mt. Airy Mansion

Azaleas - National Arboretum, Washington DC

As the tulips are fading it's time for azaleas! One of the best kept secrets in DC is the hill of azaleas at the National Arboretum. Not only is it the highest point in DC, but covered in azaleas of all colors and sizes. Many of them are unique hybrids that you won't see anywhere else.

Tulips at the Netherlands Carillon in Arlingon VA

I love the vibrant color of tulips! There is so much more than the cherry blossoms to enjoy during spring in DC. These tulips are at the Netherlands Carillon near Iwo Jima.

Haley - Washington National Cathedral Children's Photography

Haley is the sweetest thing. I've never seen a baby smile so much! I also loved her smocked dress, so pretty. Isn't she a beauty?

Grayson - Old Town Alexandria Children's Photographer

Grayson is a busy boy and I think he enjoyed exploring Old Town on a beautiful spring evening. We wanted to capture his beautiful blue eyes, his new walking skills and budding personality. He showed he was all boy as he also enjoyed digging into the dirt and mulch with his fingers. We did save the tulips from him; I think he wanted to pick one for his mom. :)

Shelby and Parke

I so enjoyed working with Shelby and Parke to document a turning point in their lives together as they leave the Navy soon. The Navy has taken them from DC to Japan and back, and the Arlington Cemetery Amphitheater was a beautiful spot to commemorate their service and adventures.

Mason

Mason and his big blue eyes are so adorable! He did his best to model for me, though the flowers were a HUGE temptation! :)

Burke Family

I had the pleasure of meeting the Burke family and photographing their family. Working with 6 adult children was a little different, but everyone behaved and it was a lot of fun! :)

Aldan and Theron - twins!

My friend Lauren had twin boys recently and we thought it would be fun to get some sweet shots of them together. Well, easier said than done! After several hours on day 5, we gave up to try again on day 8. After another couple of hours we were able to get them both asleep at the same time for a few moments and I grabbed these shots. With a combined weight of about 16 pounds they are not as small as they look! They are both sweet boys, but so different already. Aldan has brown hair and Theron is blond, so they should be easy to tell apart. Here they are at 8 days old.

Toni and Carl's Wedding Story

When the wedding day is over and all that's left is the pictures, you want an album that brings the memories alive. That's my goal when I design an album, to tell the day's story in pictures to be enjoyed by the couple and generations to come. To see the story of Toni and Carl's wedding day, click here.
