Congratulations Melissa and Greg!

Saturday was a beautiful day at Brookside Gardens where I had the joy of capturing Melissa and Greg’s wedding in the conservatory. It was a sweet ceremony and a great party afterwards. Here’s the slideshow of their day.

Riley at 9 months

My childhood friend Allison comes up from Jacksonville, FL every fall, I think this is our 9th annual apple picking trip. Riley slept through it, but woke up in time for pictures. We also had to document her first trip to DC with a trip to the Capitol.

Rainbows

It's not often you see a complete rainbow, much less a double one! It's been raining a lot in DC and I don't enjoy the dreary weather. But this incredibly vivid rainbow reminded me that God keeps his promises. I'm so thankful for that!

Hannah and Chris

On Sunday I had a great engagement shoot with Hannah and Chris. We found some beautiful spots in Old Town - including a stop at Ben and Jerry's. Kimberley - Washington DC Bridal Photography

Isn't Kimberley gorgeous?! She's getting married later this month and we had so much fun shooting her bridal portrait on Saturday - being very careful with the dress, of course. And George, you'd better not be reading this! Here's her slideshow too.

Ava is One

Today I shot Ava's one year old portrait. She is such a cutie and has such beautiful hair! Like any one year old, she was constantly on the move, but I managed to catch a few great shots. Here's her slideshow too.

Jodi and Michael

Last Sunday I had the opportunity to shoot an engagement session with Jodi and Michael. This was especially fun as back in my days on the Hill, Jodi was a lobbyist who I worked with often on hearing health issues. It’s always nice when paths cross again with old friends. We had gorgeous weather for the shoot, can you believe that sky?! Congratulations again on your engagement, Jodi and Michael, I look forward to your wedding next May! 9-11 Five years later...

There's a hill near my house that overlooks the Pentagon and DC across 395. On September 11, 2001, when I finally came home that afternoon, I went over to the hill to see the Pentagon. Many people were gathered there. Tonight, even at 11:30pm, there were a few people gathered on the hill to see the tribute in lights to those who died in the Pentagon 5 years ago. Being so close, I will never forget what I saw that day.

Saturday was Tiffany and Matt's lovely wedding at LAuberge Chez Francois, a wonderful French restaurant in Great Falls. We finished the day at the Smithsonian Castle, a fitting backdrop for a wedding day portrait. The slideshow tells the day's story.
