Ava is Two

Last year I shot Ava's one year old portrait and now she's two. It hardly seems that a year could have gone by, but she's turned in to a little girl. She still has beautiful red hair and amazing blue eyes. Tommy, from the post a few weeks ago, is her buddy and I'm sure she does a pretty good job keeping up with him. She didn't stay sill much! But I managed to grab a few cute shots. :) Here she is:

The Jacob Show

Jacob at 7 months

Jacob is such a cute little boy (you may remember his adorable newborn portrait with the fun hat) and it's hard to believe he's old enough to start exploring the world on his own. Jabob was the perfect little model and we got some great shots of him (and mom and dad) don't you think?
(FYI - about 6 months is the perfect time for pictures - lots of smiles and they stay were you sit them! :))

The President

President Bush welcomed the 2006-07 NCAA Division 1 Champions to the White House last Friday. I always enjoy going to the White House and it's a special privilege to see the President!

The Adeleine, Caden and Sophie Show

Anita and Jerald's Album

Anita and Jerald's album is ready! Click here to check it out.

Adeleine, Caden and Sophie

I started photographing this family with a maternity shoot and now Sophie is almost 2! It's been fun to watch the kids grow. Taking a picture that's good of multiple children at the same time is inherently difficult. :) My favorites are the individual shots!

Kalie and Brandon

Kalie and Brandon trekked all over Georgetown with me yesterday finishing up at Bartholdi Park and the Capitol. I think we got some fabulous shots to celebrate their engagement and enjoyed beautiful weather. Check out their slideshow for more of this cute couple.

Tommy at Two

Tommy's mom warned me that he was "a runner" and she wasn't kidding! I wish I had half his energy! Lots of actions shots from his photo shoot and a few cute close ups too. He was a great sport. You have to watch the slideshow to appreciate just how much he ran. :) The location is mostly the new National Garden outside the Botanic Garden.

Anne and Chris

I had a fun engagement shoot with Anne and Chris yesterday evening at Bartholdi Park. The park is beautiful this time of year and Anne and Chris were wonderful to work with. I think we got some great shots, don't you? (There's lots more in their slideshow at the bottom of this post.) I look forward to their wedding in December!

Elizabethan Gardens - Roanoke Island

Last Friday during my week at the Outer Banks, I visited the Elizabethan Gardens on Roanoke Island. The gardens were established in 1951 as a memorial to the first English settlers, the Lost Colony. This is the antique Italian fountain, one of the features of the garden.

Congratulations Anita and Jerald!

Jerald and Anita were married today and it was an honor to capture the beautiful (and fun!) memories of the first day of their married lives. This wedding was a little different for me as Jerald and I graduated the same year from Asbury College - back then we would never have predicted that one day I'd be his wedding photographer! Anita is a wonderful, sweet person and I'm so happy they've found each other. Congratulations Jerald and Anita!
